ONLINE DRIVING IMPROVEMENT COURSE

 $100

This online course consists of at least 8 hours of instruction. It is self-guided, available to access 24/7 and available in both English and Spanish. To benefit from the course, you must be able to work independently and be comfortable with using a computer.  This course is 100% online including the final exam.  The test may be taken only once per business day. You will be required to verify identification throughout the course and prior to taking the final test. Your court may or may not accept the certificate of completion. It is your responsibility to determine whether your court would accept courses taken at online traffic schools. If you are required by the court to complete a driver improvement clinic, the court will determine if you are to be awarded safe driving points. You must furnish documentation from the court to the online driver improvement clinic provider before DMV can award points. Safe driving points will not be awarded if the online clinic provider does not receive this documentation.  Please visit the online driver improvement course page to register.

     Behind the Wheel             (Minors Only)

  $350

Behind the wheel lessons for minors consists of 7 periods driving and 7 periods observing another student driving.  The duration of each period is 50 minutes. Students must have their permit, the classroom portion of driver's education completed and 45 hours of guided driving practice with parents and/or legal guardian before registering.  THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! Our driving school is committed to providing high-quality driving instruction to all students. However, we do not have the specialized facilities, equipment, or training to accommodate students with certain disabilities and/or impairments.  We encourage these students to seek specialized driving schools and programs to meet their needs.

  •  If you completed the driver education course through school or another driver training school, you will need to provide either a DEC-1 or DTS 36 form.  Completion of behind the wheel lessons DOES NOT guarantee that you will receive your driver's license.  Students that successfully complete lessons and pass their road test will be issued a temporary driver's license by the instructor.  Please note road testing at DMV is not available for students under the age of 18 in Virginia.  Please call and leave a message for scheduling and availability.

Driver Manual Course/Three Exam Failure (in Person)

 $190

This is an 8-hour in person course based on the Virginia driver's manual and is designed to better prepare individuals for the knowledge test. Once you have successfully completed either the classroom component of driver education or the Driver's Manual course and have provided DMV with your certificate of completion, you can retake the knowledge exam.

  • If you have failed the knowledge test three times and are age 18 or older, you must either take the classroom component of driver education (36 fifty-minute classroom periods/30 periods online) or complete an 8-hour Driver's Manual course.  If you have failed the knowledge test three times and are under age 18, you must complete the classroom component of driver education if you have not already done so.  You must provide proof of completion for the classroom component of driver education prior to enrolling in the 8-hour Driver's Manual Course.  Please call and leave a message for scheduling and availability.
